Adriana Villagran is a visual artist living and working in San Francisco, CA. She completed a BA in Art Practice from UC Berkeley in 2012, where she focused on drawing, painting, and mixed media sculpture and installation. In 2013, she co-founded Venison Magazine, an online contemporary art magazine, alongside fellow artist and Berkeley alumni, Amber Imrie. In 2015, she was an artist in residence at Elsewhere Studios in Paonia, CO, where she collaborated with Imrie and the local community on a fiber art installation project. She took a brief hiatus from art in early 2016 to learn how to code via General Assembly’s web development bootcamp where she was selected as an inaugural candidate for Adobe’s Digital Academy program. Now she works by day as a developer on Adobe’s first version of Photoshop for iPad. Her work has been included in several feminist art exhibitions and featured by Unitewomen.org. She continues to exhibit her work nationally as well as develop and refine her individual style and artistic voice.
